The Top 5 LV.X Pokemon Cards
LV.X's are some of the best Pokemon card available. Even though they can be difficult to get in play, the effort is well worth it.
LV.X Pokemon have some of the best abilities and attacks in all of the
Pokemon Trading Card Game.
Here are my top 5 LV.X Pokemon cards:
5. Uxie LV.X (Legends Awakened)
While Uxie LV.X does not appear overly powerful at first glance, it is one of the best LV.X cards simply due to its adaptability in any deck. Nearly every deck out there uses plain old
Uxie LA, so it is easy to slide a copy of Uxie LV.X into your list.
Uxie LV.X will do 2 things for you; it will give you some stability and offensive capability. "Trade Off" is a nice
Pokemon Power that will give you such extra draw power. This will help ensure your deck maintains consistency and is able to keep getting attackers out.
"Zen Blade" does 60 damage for 2 colorless energies, which is awfully good. This essentially gives you a Psychic attacker in any deck without having to play Psychic Energies. This can enough damage to knock out some pesky
Pokemon such as Machamp LV.X and Toxicroak G.
4. Blaziken FB LV.X (Supreme Victors)
Blaziken FB LV.X is one of the most dangerous Pokemon card out there. It can do 80 damage for essentially 1 Energy Card (assuming you have a TGI Energy Gain attached). This makes
Blaziken FB LV.X a threat at any point of the game.
80 damage for one Energy is a phenomenal energy to damage ratio. You will be hard pressed to find anything better than that.
"Burning Spirit" is also a fairy good Poke Body. The basic form of
Blaziken FB has the ability to burn, either forcing your opponent to find a way to remove that special condition or face an imminent knock out.
3. Palkia G LV.X (Platinum)
This card is awesome solely because of its "Lost Cyclone" Pokemon Power. This ability combos incredibly with
Mesprit LA, which prevents your opponent from playing any Pokemon Powers during their turn. Combined with Palkia G LV.X, you could stop your opponent's Powers for 4 straight turns! This is a truly game changing ability.
"Hydro Shot" is also nothing to scoff at; 80 damage to any Pokemon in play should always be of concern to your opponent.
2. Flygon LV.X (Rising Rivals)
"Wind Erosion" may be the best Pokemon Body in the game. People have made decks focused solely around this Poke Body and not even attacking!
If you can keep Flygon LV.X active for a few turns, you will be discarding a significant amount of cards from you opponent's deck. There is a real possibility that you will discard your opponent's vital cards and also that you may cause them to run out of cards, thus losing the game.
Oh yeah...it can also do 150 damage to any LV.X Pokemon in play with
"Extreme Attack". That isn't too shabby either.
1. Luxray GL LV.X (Rising Rivals)
It should come as no surprise that Luxray GL LV.X is the number 1 LV.X Pokemon at the moment. It does efficient damage and has quite possibly the best
Pokemon Power in the game, "Bright Eyes". This card is super speedy at knocking out
Pokemon. It also helps that it is an SP Pokemon, as it can benefit from all the awesome SP Trainer Cards out there.
Luxray GL LV.X is so good that nearly every deck that uses SP Pokemon
(and some that don't), use it. Even the deck that won the World Championships used it as an integral part of its strategy. previous
